This is my first review and I felt compelled to write because of the scale not living up to the “hype” it received from enthusiastic previous reviewers. I am a physician and am making it a point to be healthy. Of course, that means keeping track of my weight. Unfortunately, not only does the scale display different weights depending on the floor surface (despite them all being flat), it will not register weight changes greater than .2 lb increments that are on the smaller side. That is, it will not display a weights for “test” items with “known” weights, such as 1-lb boxes of pasta, (even multiple boxes), books, canned foods, etc. Yes, I make sure to tap it on. I’ve tried replacing the batteries, recalibrating on multiple occasions, and even leaving it alone for a few days just to see if it would magically start to work as advertised. And yes, I’ve tried it with me plus aforementioned items with no change in weight, or ridiculously large fluctuations that are nonsensical. I am pretty unhappy with this product. I am still in search of a reliable scale, but I don’t think I will be so trusting of the reviews on Amazon, especially considering this brand of scales seem to be getting inflated ratings.

I bought this Forerunner because I wanted to train for a triathalon. Very easy to change between running and biking which is nice. There are a lot of features with this but once you get the hang of it, the watch is easy to navigate. Heart monitor is a little quirky to setup. Mine didnt setup automatically off the bat so I had to keep turning the device off and on until it connected. Not really that big of a deal and shouldnt be a show stopper for purchasing this watch.

I like this case a lot. It’s a bit pricey, but, in my opinion, worth it. The case definitely adds some mass and width to your iPhone, so be aware of that. As far as the “oil slick” problem goes, I found that the baby powder trick worked great. Others complained of the holster and the phone falling out. I was going to complain about that, too, but then I realized that I was putting it in the holster screen OUT, which was a bit stupid on my part. Put in the right way, it seems to be pretty solid and safe so far.

A big drawback is that I can’t use my third-party car charger. I’m going to have to look for a charger that will fit the case, because I don’t want to use the Dreml method that others have talked about.

I use my iPhone all the time, for everything from internet access, to facebook, to satellite radio, and, occasionally, as a phone :-) . I’m notoriously hard on phones. This case will probably save me money in repairs/replacement in the long run.

UPDATE: Recently, my iPhone developed a problem where the headphone jack mic wasn’t working properly. The culprit? pocket lint, easily fixed using a bent paper clip, deposited before bought the case. The Otterbox jack covers prevent this lint problem. Amazing!

When I first got it, I cringed, preferring a more sleek look that will completely protect my iPhone. However I knew with my very unlucky history with several different phones that had suffered under my ownership, that I needed HEAVY DUTY protection. Within two months of owning iPhone and the Defender, I had dropped it a good 25 times, on soft surface, cement surface, in snow, bumped it into doorjambs, you name it. I unknowingly dropped my iPhone with the Defender in the snow as I shoveled and accidently ran over it in my car. (The belt holster is another story.. just make sure you snap it in completely before doing any outside work) I came back to look for it and it was there… with tread marks all snuggled in the snow…unscathed! So yes…it’s bulky, has a bit of screen touching difficulty, and belt holster is bit tricky…but if you run over it on soft, snow-like surface, hey, no problem! Nuff said…

Kids (and adults): don’t try this at home!

Awesome case, has already protected my iphone. I only have one complaint. The screen, I can’t get it to be smooth against the glass iphone. I looks like water/moisture is between the two and there’s not. I have tried powder as suggested, but it didn’t work. It can be annoying. Other than that, I love the case.

I absolutely love this series. Sure it’s meant for teenagers, but I am a 33 year old mom of 2 and I just love it.
