I couldn’t really make any different with VGA and HDMI. Just wanted to see how HDMI works. It feels good but visually no difference.

There’s no iPhone or Droid in my future. Tracfone is just fine for my needs. So, my son says, “Get an iPod Touch.” Voila!! I now have all the functions and apps I could want without the monthly bill.

Yes, you must have wi-fi access, but all the places I go in my town have it and I bought a nice little Netgear router for my home computer, so no problem. I am amazed at the way this thing functions. It allows me complete access to the Web in addition to holding all my iTunes library and all the apps I care to download. Now my wife can hog the computer all she wants. I don’t care.

No, it is not an iPhone. No camera. No mic unless hooked to the earbuds. If you are somewhere without wi-fi then obviously the browser won’t work. However, all the other non-web-based functions and apps work just fine. As far as I am concerned a great purchase well worth the price.

As an added bonus the Mint Studio wireless speaker I bought for my living room has an iPod dock. I can use my Touch to either play my iTunes library or bring up Pandora on the browser and play that through the Mint Studio. Great listening!

I was really hesitant about whether I would like a e-reader, and was very torn between the Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook. But I could not be happier with my decision to go with the Kindle. The battery life lasts forever (I have read two whole books on a single charge)! The Kindle really lets you get down to the reading and soon you will forget you are even using a device and not a real book. Also it is great for glare, I have read several times in the direct sun and it is easier on the eyes than a traditional book!

I was a little sceptical of this when we first got it as a gift. It looked to bulky to actually be practical, so we didn’t actually use it for a few months. But now after using it for almost a year, my wife and I are very satisfied with the product. We use it in two cars (Honda and Subaru) and and it has worked perfectly every time. No slipping, easy to use, and not as obtrusive as it appears. When not in use, we just stash the beanbag part under the seat or in a door pocket and put the GPS and plastic hardware in the glovebox. Thus, the tell-tale wrings from the windshield mount are gone, and potential thieves are none the wiser.
