My porch rug is 40+ years old and until $$ allows it will stay there. HOWEVER, as much as it gets vacuumed I know it was very dirty. I have cleanid it 4 times now and I let it scrub scrub away and each time I still am getting dirty water in the tank. My other rugs no issues, cleaned then rinsed and the water comes up clean. I rented those big heavy things 2-3 times over the years and frankly I think this easy to use, easy to assemble, lighter weight machine does just as well as those rentals. My ONLY down rated issue is that the dirty water holding tank is harder to clean with its nooks and crannies. BUTit does not need to be returned within 24 hours so I can clean the rugs when I feel like it. I have several rugs/upolstery that will have the hose attachement used in the spring (my boat) and if the had tool works as well as the machine does I will be very happy.
